Thoughtful Design for the Way You Live
A home is the most personal project you will ever commission. It should reflect who you are, how you move through your day, and the place you chose to put down roots — whether that's a hillside in Portland, a coastal bluff in Oregon, or a south-facing cove in Sitka, Alaska.
Steve Simpson has spent 35 years designing homes across the Pacific Northwest and Southeast Alaska — from modest cottages to expansive contemporary residences built to make the most of dramatic landscapes and challenging climates. Every project begins the same way: with a conversation about you.
Steve's process is hands-on, collaborative, and refreshingly efficient. He works directly in 3D from the earliest design conversations, so you can see and react to your home as it takes shape, not after months of back-and-forth on flat drawings. The result is a design process that feels more like a partnership than a transaction, and a finished home that feels inevitable, as though it belongs in its landscape.
